You are looking for xerox b305dni wireless black white alternatives because the original model has specific strengths and limitations. The Xerox B305DNI offers fast 40 ppm monochrome printing, automatic duplexing, and compact dimensions of 16.2 by 13.3 inches. It also includes wireless scanning and robust security features for small teams. However, you might want a different device if you need color output, a larger paper tray, or a different footprint. Some users may prefer a dedicated printer without scanning functions to save space and cost.
The alternatives listed here were chosen because their specifications overlap with the Xerox B305DNI. Each option provides wireless connectivity and monochrome laser printing, which are core requirements for this category. You will find models with varying sizes, from compact units under 15 inches wide to larger multifunction devices. Some include duplex scanning, while others focus solely on printing speed. This guide helps you compare these specs to find the best fit for your office layout and workflow needs.
Our top pick: Xerox B305 Monochrome All-in-One Laser Printer.
Comparing the top alternatives
Brother All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer
The Brother DCP-L2640DW shares the monochrome wireless focus but swaps the Xerox’s all-in-one design for a scanner-only function. It lacks printing, so it cannot replace the B305DNI for full office tasks. However, it offers duplex scanning, which the Xerox does not specify. Its footprint is slightly narrower at 16.1 inches wide, fitting tight desks well. You should choose this if you already have a printer and need fast two-sided scanning. It is heavier at 25 pounds, suggesting a sturdier build. This model prioritizes scanning speed over the comprehensive print-scan-copy workflow of the Xerox.
Brother Compact Monochrome Duplex Laser Printer
The Brother HL-L2460DW is a dedicated printer, removing the scan and copy functions found in the Xerox B305DNI. It is significantly smaller, measuring 14 by 7.2 inches, making it ideal for spaces where the Xerox’s 13.3-inch height is too tall. It weighs only 15.6 pounds, much lighter than the Xerox. It supports duplex printing and wireless connectivity, matching core Xerox features. You should pick this if you only need printing and want a compact footprint. It lacks the multifunction convenience of the B305DNI, so it suits users who already have a separate scanner.
Brother Compact Monochrome Laser Printer
The Brother HL-L2405W is a single-function printer, offering only printing without the scan or copy capabilities of the Xerox B305DNI. Its dimensions are identical to the L2460DW, providing a compact 14 by 7.2-inch profile. It weighs just 15.1 pounds, making it the lightest option here. It supports wireless printing and mobile devices, aligning with Xerox connectivity. You should choose this if you need the smallest possible device for black-and-white output. It gives up multifunction features entirely, so it is only suitable if you do not need scanning or copying from the printer itself.
HP LaserJet Wireless Duplex Printer
The HP LaserJet M209dw is a single-function printer, lacking the scan and copy functions of the Xerox B305DNI. It is much smaller, measuring 11 by 8.07 inches, and weighs only 11.2 pounds. This makes it ideal for users who need a lightweight, space-saving printing solution. It supports wireless connectivity and duplex printing, matching key Xerox specs. You should pick this if you prioritize portability and small footprint over multifunction features. It is not an all-in-one device, so it cannot replace the B305DNI for users who need scanning or copying capabilities built into the same unit.
Canon imageCLASS Wireless All-in-One Laser Printer
The Canon imageCLASS MF462dw II is a large all-in-one printer, significantly bigger than the compact Xerox B305DNI. It measures 22.5 by 20.5 inches and weighs 44 pounds, requiring much more desk space. It includes fax capabilities, which the Xerox does not list. It supports duplex scanning and wireless connectivity, matching or exceeding Xerox features. You should choose this if you need faxing and have ample space. It is a heavy-duty option for busy offices. The size trade-off is substantial, so it is only suitable if you need multifunction features beyond what the Xerox offers and have the room for a larger machine.
Canon GX3020 Wireless All-in-One Supertank
The Canon MAXIFY GX3020 is a wireless all-in-one, similar to the Xerox B305DNI in function. However, it uses a supertank ink system, not laser technology. It is much wider at 28.4 inches, making it unsuitable for tight spaces. It supports duplex printing and wireless scanning, matching Xerox features. You should pick this if you need high-yield ink supplies and do not mind a larger footprint. It is not a laser printer, so maintenance and cost structures differ. It offers similar multifunction convenience but with a different printing technology and significantly larger physical presence.
