The HP LaserJet Enterprise M634h Monochrome MFP delivers high-speed monochrome printing with robust security features. If you are exploring hp laserjet m634h monochrome mfp alternatives, you might need different capabilities. This model excels at fast text output and large paper handling. However, it lacks A3 support and wireless connectivity. Some users prefer compact designs or integrated fax functions. Others may need color printing or lower cost options.
The alternatives listed here share key specifications with the M634h. They all support monochrome laser printing for reliable text output. Each option offers distinct advantages for specific office needs. You can find models with A3 compatibility for wider documents. Some include fax features for traditional communication. Others provide wireless connectivity for mobile printing. All choices maintain professional print quality. This guide helps you compare these specs to find the right fit for your team.
Comparing alternatives to the HP M634h
KYOCERA ECOSYS Monochrome A3 Multifunction Printer
The Kyocera ECOSYS M4125idn supports A3 paper, which the HP M634h cannot handle. This makes it essential for offices printing large documents or technical drawings. It includes fax capabilities and duplex scanning, adding functionality the HP lacks. However, it is significantly heavier and larger, weighing 108 pounds compared to the HP’s 73.2 pounds. You sacrifice some speed and the color touchscreen interface for this wider format support. Choose this model if your workflow requires regular A3 output and integrated faxing rather than the high-speed monochrome focus of the M634h.
HP M634z Monochrome MFP
The HP M634z shares the same monochrome print engine as the M634h, offering similar speed and security features. The main difference is its physical configuration and paper handling capacity. It is designed for high-volume environments with larger input trays and integrated finishing options. While the M634h focuses on a balance of features, the M634z prioritizes throughput and document finishing. It is slightly taller and deeper. Select the M634z if you need robust paper handling and finishing capabilities for busy offices, rather than the specific input tray configuration of the M634h.
Lexmark High-Speed Monochrome Laser Printer
The Lexmark MS826de is a dedicated monochrome laser printer, lacking the scan and copy functions of the HP M634h MFP. It focuses entirely on print speed and high page volumes. It is lighter and more compact than the HP, weighing 57.3 pounds. You gain a streamlined device for pure printing tasks but lose the multifunction convenience. It features a touch screen and duplex printing. Pick this alternative if you only need high-speed text output and want to save space, rather than requiring an all-in-one solution for scanning and copying.
HP LaserJet Enterprise M712n A3 Monochrome
The HP LaserJet Enterprise M712n supports A3 printing, a capability the M634h does not offer. It is designed for teams needing heavy A3 output with robust security features. This model is a dedicated printer, so it lacks the scan and copy functions of the M634h. It is also larger and heavier, weighing 91 pounds. You trade multifunction convenience for A3 support and wired reliability. Choose the M712n if your office requires frequent large-format printing and centralized management, rather than the compact all-in-one design of the M634h.
Brother All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer
The Brother DCP-L2640DW is a compact monochrome MFP designed for small offices. It is much smaller and lighter than the HP M634h, weighing only 25 pounds. It supports wireless connectivity and mobile printing, features not emphasized in the M634h’s enterprise focus. It offers scan and copy functions in a space-saving design. However, it lacks the high print speed and large paper capacity of the HP. Select this Brother model if you need a quiet, compact solution for a small team, rather than the high-volume performance of the M634h.
Brother Compact Monochrome Duplex Laser Printer
The Brother HL-L2460DW is a dedicated monochrome laser printer with Alexa support. It lacks the scan and copy functions of the HP M634h MFP. It is very compact and lightweight, weighing just 15.6 pounds. It offers wireless connectivity and duplex printing for fast text output. You give up multifunction capabilities and high-speed enterprise performance for a small, voice-controlled device. Choose this Brother printer if you need a dedicated, space-saving monochrome output device with smart home integration, rather than the comprehensive office solution provided by the M634h.
