It supports 11x17 media, prints up to 31 pages per minute in black, and includes automatic duplexing. You also get a 250-sheet paper tray and a 50-page automatic document feeder. These specs make it a strong option for small offices that need speed and versatility. However, you might look for brother inkvestment 6560 wireless color alternatives if your needs differ. Perhaps you require a smaller footprint, a different connectivity setup, or a laser engine for higher volume text work. Some teams may prefer tank-based systems for lower long-term costs, while others need dedicated Ethernet ports for stable wired connections.
The 6 alternatives listed here were chosen because their specifications overlap with the 6560’s core capabilities. Our top pick: Brother INKvestment Wide-Format All-in-One Printer.
How these models differ from the 6560
Brother INKvestment Wide-Format All-in-One
The Brother INKvestment 6960 shares the same wide-format 11x17 capability and color output as the 6560. It distinguishes itself with a larger physical footprint, standing 14.8 inches tall and weighing 51.4 pounds. This model adds faxing support, which the 6560 also includes, but offers a different internal configuration for high-volume tasks. You gain a robust build suited for busy small businesses that need reliable duplex printing and wireless connectivity. If you require the same print speeds and paper handling but prefer a chassis designed for heavier daily loads, this premium option fits your needs without sacrificing wide-format versatility.
Brother INKvestment Color All-in-One Printer
The Brother MFCJ5010DW drops the wide-format 11x17 support found in the 6560, focusing instead on standard letter-sized documents. It is significantly more compact, measuring 10.7 inches in height and weighing just 30.9 pounds. This model retains color printing, wireless scanning, and duplex scanning capabilities. You give up the ability to print large posters or blueprints but gain a smaller footprint ideal for cramped workspaces. It supports faxing and offers a touch screen interface. Choose this if your office primarily handles standard reports and presentations, valuing space efficiency and comprehensive scanning features over wide-format printing speed.
Brother INKvestment Color All-in-One Printer
The Brother MFC-J5110DW is optimized for A4 paper sizes, excluding the 11x17 wide-format capability of the 6560. It maintains color printing, wireless connectivity, and duplex scanning for efficient document management. This model weighs 37.7 pounds and stands 13.4 inches tall, offering a middle ground between the compact 5010DW and the larger 6560. It includes faxing and a touch screen for easy operation. You trade wide-format versatility for a machine tailored to international or A4-centric workflows. Select this alternative if your team prints mostly standard-sized documents and requires fast, reliable color output with strong scanning automation.
Brother Color Laser Printer with Dual Trays
The Brother HL-L8360CDWT shifts from inkjet to laser technology, delivering high-volume color printing without the need for ink cartridges. It lacks scanning and copying functions, serving as a dedicated printer rather than an all-in-one device. This model supports Ethernet and wireless connections, ensuring stable network integration for busy offices. It weighs 17.5 inches in height and features automatic duplex printing for two-sided output. You gain faster print speeds and lower cost-per-page for text-heavy jobs, but you lose the convenience of an integrated scanner. Pick this if your priority is speed and wired connectivity for large print runs.
Canon MegaTank G3270 Wireless All-in-One
The Canon MegaTank G3270 uses a refillable ink tank system, offering high ink longevity compared to the cartridge-based 6560. It prints in color and supports wireless scanning, but it lacks automatic duplex printing, requiring manual page flipping for two-sided documents. This model is lighter at 13.2 pounds and measures 10.6 inches in height, making it easier to place in smaller spaces. You gain significant ink savings for high-volume color images but sacrifice the automation and wide-format support of the Brother. Choose this if you print many color photos or graphics and prioritize low ongoing costs over speed and duplex convenience.
Epson EcoTank ET-2800 All-in-One Printer
The Epson EcoTank ET-2800 employs a tank-based ink system for lower ongoing costs, similar to the Canon but with a different design. It supports color printing and wireless scanning, yet it does not offer automatic duplex printing. This model is compact, weighing 11.6 pounds and standing 10 inches tall, making it suitable for home offices or small workspaces. You give up the wide-format 11x17 capability and the high-speed performance of the 6560. It is ideal for users who value moderate output and scanning features over speed and automation. Select this if you need an affordable, space-saving solution for occasional color printing tasks.
