The Canon IX6820 Wireless Inkjet handles large media with a 150-sheet capacity and offers wireless scanning for dedicated tasks. If you are searching for canon ix6820 wireless inkjet alternatives, you might need a different footprint or color output. This model measures 10.2 inches wide and weighs 24.3 pounds. It focuses on single-function printing rather than multiflex office workflows. Some users prefer compact designs or all-in-one units with fax capabilities. Others need color output for marketing materials or shipping labels.
The alternatives listed here share key specifications with the original, such as wireless connectivity and duplex printing options. We selected these models because their specs overlap with the IX6820’s core features. You can find monochrome laser printers for high-volume text or color options for graphics. Some choices include mobile printing support or touch screens for easier operation. Each option targets specific needs like shipping labels or small office document handling. Review the dimensions and weight to ensure the device fits your workspace. Compare the print technology to match your daily output requirements.
How each alternative compares
Canon imageCLASS Wireless All-in-One Laser Printer
This Canon imageCLASS model switches from inkjet to monochrome laser technology. You gain duplex scanning and automatic two-sided printing, which the IX6820 lacks. The trade-off is size. It measures 22.5 inches wide and weighs 44 pounds, making it much larger than the 10.2-inch, 24.3-pound IX6820. It also outputs only black and white. If you need high-volume text documents and space is not an issue, this all-in-one unit offers more functionality. You give up color printing and compact footprint.
HP Color LaserJet Pro 3201dw Duplex Printer
The HP Color LaserJet Pro 3201dw provides color output using laser technology, unlike the IX6820’s inkjet system. It includes duplex printing and wireless scanning for complete office versatility. The footprint is wider at 15.35 inches compared to the IX6820’s 10.2 inches, and it weighs 33 pounds. This model suits small teams needing fast, professional color results. You lose the IX6820’s specialized large-format media handling. The laser engine offers different maintenance needs but delivers consistent color for documents and graphics in a standard office size.
Rollo Wireless Direct Thermal Label Printer
The Rollo printer uses direct thermal printing, eliminating ink or toner costs entirely. It is significantly smaller, measuring only 3 inches wide and 7 inches long, and weighs just 3.48 pounds. This compact design contrasts sharply with the IX6820’s 24.3-pound bulk. It supports wireless connectivity and scanning features. However, it only produces black-and-white labels. If you need shipping labels or small tags, this device is far more efficient. You sacrifice all general document printing and color capabilities for specialized, high-speed label production in a tiny package.
Brother Compact Monochrome All-in-One Laser Printer
This Brother model adds fax capabilities to its monochrome laser printing and wireless scanning functions. It features duplex printing and scanning for efficient document handling. Its size is 12.5 inches wide and 16.6 inches tall, weighing 26 pounds. This is slightly wider and heavier than the IX6820. It outputs only black and white. Small offices requiring faxing alongside standard printing will find this all-in-one unit practical. You give up color printing and the IX6820’s larger paper capacity. The laser technology ensures reliable text output without ink maintenance.
Brother Compact Monochrome Multifunction Laser Printer
The Brother HL-L2480DW focuses on mobile printing and compact monochrome output. It supports wireless scanning and duplex printing. Measuring 16.1 inches wide and weighing 22.2 pounds, it is wider but lighter than the IX6820. It lacks color printing, offering only black-and-white results. This model suits users prioritizing speed and mobile convenience over large-format media support. You trade the IX6820’s dedicated large media handling for efficient, everyday document printing. The inclusion of scanning and copying functions makes it a versatile all-in-one for small offices needing reliable text output.
Brother INKvestment Color All-in-One Printer
The Brother MFCJ5010DW returns to color printing with an inkjet engine, similar to the IX6820. It includes a touchscreen, wireless scanning, and duplex scanning for enhanced usability. It measures 17.1 inches wide and weighs 30.9 pounds, making it larger and heavier than the IX6820. This all-in-one unit offers fax, scan, and copy functions. Small offices needing color and fax features will prefer this model. You lose the IX6820’s specific large-format media capacity. The touchscreen interface provides easier control, but the larger footprint requires more desk space for your color printing needs.
