Looking Beyond the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-16600 Wireless? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

How alternatives compare to the ET-16600

Canon MegaTank G3270 Wireless All-in-One

The Canon MegaTank G3270 Wireless All-in-One is a compact color inkjet solution for home offices. It measures 16.4 inches wide and 10.6 inches high, making it significantly smaller than the 20.3-inch wide Epson ET-16600. This Canon model supports wireless printing and scanning, similar to the Epson. However, it lacks automatic duplex printing, which the Epson provides for two-sided documents. The Canon also does not handle wide-format paper up to 13x19 inches. It is best for high-volume home color printing where space is limited and wide formats are unnecessary. You save physical footprint but lose the ability to print large documents or handle duplexing automatically.

Epson EcoTank ET-2800 All-in-One Printer

The Epson EcoTank ET-2800 All-in-One Printer offers a medium-sized footprint for home offices needing low-maintenance color printing. It is much smaller than the wide-format ET-16600, measuring 14.8 inches wide and 10 inches high. Both use tank-based ink systems for cost efficiency. The ET-2800 supports wireless connectivity and scanning. Unlike the ET-16600, it does not support wide-format paper sizes. It also lacks the high monthly duty cycle and faxing capabilities of the ET-16600. This model is ideal for users who prioritize a smaller device and do not need to print on paper larger than standard letter size. It gives up wide-format versatility for a more manageable size.

Epson EcoTank Wireless Color All-in-One

The Epson EcoTank ET-4800 Color AIO focuses on automated color document handling. It includes an automatic document feeder for scanning and copying, a feature absent in the ET-16600. This printer is wireless and supports color output. However, it is not a wide-format printer, so it cannot handle paper up to 13x19 inches like the ET-16600. The ET-4800 is smaller and lighter, measuring 14.8 inches wide. It is suited for teams that value automated document handling over wide-format printing. You gain efficient multi-page scanning but lose the ability to produce large-format graphics or documents. It is a practical choice for standard-sized color workflows.

Brother All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer

The Brother DCP-L2640DW is a compact monochrome laser MFP designed for small business black-and-white document workflows. It uses laser technology, unlike the inkjet ET-16600. This printer supports wireless connectivity, scanning, and copying. It features duplex scanning, which the ET-16600 does not explicitly list for its scanner. However, it only prints in black and white, so it cannot produce color output like the Epson. It also does not support wide-format paper. This model is best for users who prioritize speed and duplex scanning for text documents. You gain reliable monochrome laser performance but lose all color and wide-format capabilities entirely.

Brother Compact Monochrome Duplex Laser Printer

The Brother HL-L2460DW is a compact monochrome duplex laser printer that supports voice control via Alexa. It is smaller than the ET-16600, measuring 14 inches wide. It offers wireless printing and duplex printing for two-sided documents. Unlike the ET-16600, it is not an all-in-one device; it lacks scanning and copying functions. It also does not support color or wide-format printing. This printer is ideal for users who need fast, reliable monochrome printing with voice control. You save space and gain voice integration but lose multifunction capabilities, color output, and the ability to print on large paper sizes. It is a focused tool for text-heavy environments.

Brother Compact Monochrome Laser Printer

The Brother HL-L2405W is a compact monochrome laser printer for home offices needing fast wireless printing. It measures 14 inches wide and is smaller than the ET-16600. It supports wireless connectivity and mobile printing. Like other Brother models in this list, it is monochrome only and does not support wide-format paper. It also lacks scanning and copying functions, making it a printer only. This model is best for users who do not need color or multifunction features. You gain a simple, fast monochrome solution but give up all color printing, scanning, copying, and wide-format support. It is a minimalist choice for basic text printing needs.
